Writer, Performer, Producer and Muse
Re-imagining the highest epoch of British burlesque theatre, Kittie awakens a long loved (and yet forgotten) tradition. A dainty heroine of derring-do she creates beautiful, provocative and exuberant send-ups for 21st century senses. Founder of the Ministry of Burlesque and meritoriously lauded as ‘Queen’, ‘Leader’, ‘Captain’, ‘Authority’, ‘Major Force’ and even ‘Founder of the UK burlesque renaissance’ itself, she is a unique and sought after specialist.

Biographical:
Charmed by Curiosity, Kittie is a thoughtful little adventuress at large in the avant-garde(n). An elegant eccentric, she is an erudite explorer of the peculiar.
A bel(le) esprit (and pundit of puns), she is a quirky Writer of flowing prose, observational history, whimsical philosophy and satirical sketches - noted for her epigrammatic skill. She is an Impresario with a flair for her trademark ‘historical chic’ and ‘visual puns’ producing innovative sell-out shows winning critical acclaim both nationwide and abroad. Having thus achieved enviable notoriety* (quite by accident of course) as an international Performer and Muse of considerable éclat, she can be engaged to make a Spectacle of herself for select, discerning patrons (and a shilling or two).
From her unconventional academic background in parapsychology (and her formal experience as a paranormal investigator) to her startling model portfolio, her career as a ‘neo-Victorian entrepreneuse’, an international entertainer and as a community leader, she pursues the curious with an alluring sense of perspective, contrast and adventure.
In addition to running a continual series of highly successful public events and her own international appearances (see calendar), Kittie’s clients and commissions as a writer/performer/producer/muse include BBC4, EMI/Parlophone, The British Library, Independent News & Media, BBC Radio 4, Dennis Publishing, M1NT (Cannes Film Festival), ITV, Channel 5, Vodaphone, 125 Magazine.

What to Expect?
Presented with a stylised ‘aesthetic humour’, Kittie’s unfolding portfolio offers poignant characters proffering original wit and finesse. From solo acts, double acts and sketches to full theatrical shows. From the vigorous antics of a hormone-charged Victorian girl to a majestic swirling, satirical image of Britannia herself; from the whimsical aphorisms of a clever cat named Geoffrey to a beautiful (yet bungling) film noir spy and from the hypnotic pull of her other-worldly serpentine dance to her unexpected lampoons of female kind - each character delivers imagined insights from their own particular points of view. In fact, ‘Kittie’ - the name itself - is simply another sobriquet which has stuck. Endearing, astute and charismatic she is a popular personality and pen among ladies and gentlemen of Society, industry, press and media alike.

A model of impropriety and a muse of mirth, she is perhaps something of a composite curiosity herself?
*Please note: Any tabloid scandal pertaining to acts of ‘bawdiness’ were founded entirely on misunderstanding and lexical mishap. As one, Professor Geoffrey would say “Tabloid Journalism: It’s a read herring”.
