High Tease – Cardiff, 2nd May
Celebrate the May bank holiday weekend by luxuriating this Sunday evening with the Ministry of Burlesque. Join us as we launch our riotous High Tease burlesque revue in Cardiff’s hottest venue, The Glee Club. The nationwide show-stopping phenomenon will see the premiere acts appear, many for the first time in Wales – so come and be among the first to support and experience a true Welsh rare bit or two!
An uproarious revue of razor-wit and frisky burlesque featuring the daring antics of scantily clad showgirls, the sultriest of sirens and the edgiest comic-cabaret masters. So dig out your frock & finery and get ready for high camp comedy, risqué song and Victorian villainy. Suitable for ages 18+
London’s Dark Prince of Cabaret and resident High Tease host, Mr Dusty Limits will be introducing:
• Red Sarah – Mistress of Make-believe, our Red queen of burlesque demonstrates the unique art of synchronized nipple tassel twirling and poi!
• Missy Malone – Pop, Rock and Roll with the Europe’s favourite bump ‘n’ grinder as she sheds her attire in her inimitable style.
• Dolores Delight – Love her or envy her, Dolores has the voice. She is a heart-breaking Siren like no other..
• Casanova – A flaming drag king?! But of course! Ladies beware of ‘his’ menacing attentions as he casts of more than ‘his’ inhibitions…
• This Is Elvis – It really is! Either that or he’s a devil in disguise. Be amazed at this masterful, mesmerising tribute.
• Toff & Tales – The splendidly audacious duo will perform their infamous Victorian burlesque where homosexual intrigue intrigues a young woman…
• Miss Pretty S’Vere – Cardiff’s own cabaret queen will join us to demonstrate her skills in leading the troupes.
• Of course, no High Tease would be complete without the notorious Battle of Burlesque! See two new budding performers battle their nerves in a war of wits to win over their audience. This month, Miss Betty Blue Eyes pays homage to her home country of Wales and Delilah Galore has a surprise for us…
