A bonne vivante of burlesque, Kittie is a unique producer and facilitator with highly specialised knowledge and experience of burlesque theatre. Having devised and produced contrasting shows reaching sell out, national success and critical acclaim she is further regarded as both an ‘authority’ ‘and ‘major force’ behind the burlesque renaissance itself. An enterprising mediatrix, she applies her passion for humour to her sense of ‘historical chic’ to create provocative shows which also rejuvenate and explore our theatrical lineage - whilst entertaining with refreshing originality.
Her most notable shows - ‘High Tease ‘ and ‘Victorian Values’ - represent dual aspects of modern burlesque theatre in Britain with Victorian Values (a rejuvenation of traditional British burlesque) being frequently selected for production in the public sector for it’s celebration and preservation of heritage and contrastingly, High Tease has become a national sensation with a dedicated ‘hard core’ following and nationwide productions. These shows can be hired as either ‘ready to show’ or as bespoke fittings and often run as very popular public events (see each website for details). Kittie is also available as a performance coach, creative director and consultant and of course, as a sparkling Impresario for select occasions.

MOVERS & SHAKERS - A Night of Emergence…
Kittie and the Ministry of Burlesque also run regular, free community-based events to provide fun and feedback for the students of the MoB Academy, curious newcomers and dedicated exhibitionists of the nationwide burlesque scenes. Based on the increasing demand for performance opportunities, ‘Movers & Shakers’ is an early evening, free event designed to give a platform to new, emerging talent on the burlesque and cabaret circuit. Unlike the majority of new-comer and hobbyist events, Movers and Shakers is produced by those with long standing expertise and success in the genre and the event places emphasis entirely on inclusive fun and community support. Of course, Movers & Shakers is also an opportunity for Kittie and her co-producers to select new talent for High Tease, Victorian Values and private bookings.
The Ministry of Burlesque were lauded as ‘The Movers and Shakers of the Burlesque World’ by the BBC and so it was only fitting that this moniker be bestowed upon those emerging and hopeful new comers too. The event is for performers of all levels of experience so as to get that essential stage time and professional feedback - whether it’s old timers trying out a new act or new comers taking to the stage for the first time… Together We Can-Can.
