On Sunday, 25th June, The Ministry of Burlesque (MoB) entertained in the famously haunted Britannia Panopticon Music Hall, Glasgow to help the restoration project. The theatre is a beautiful old Victorian Music Hall - the last remaing one of it’s kind in the world. The theatre had not seen a burlesque act since 1936 when WWII saw it’s close.
In it’s heyday the Britannia Panopticon saw the likes of Stan Laurel and Cary Grant (known then as Archie Leach) and was supporting the art of Burlesque, Vaudeville and Musical Hall from the 1840s.
